(12,132 posts)I remember when that was first aired and was still blown away by the entire set. She was kicking ass at the 40th anniversary set too.
But dat Prince though...I never saw that first one they showed. I'm woefully ignorant of the 4 or 5 albums he put out before 1999. I'll be fixing that real quick.

(41,692 posts)Diva's don't show up out of the blue and all night jam at parties...Diva's don't sit down and talk guitar playing for hours like he did with Billy Gibbons.

Me thinks you have no idea what a Diva is.

(58,724 posts)Prince has issued a list of demands for hotels he stays at which includes "no stairs", paintings of animals or faces and "obstructive rugs".
The 'Purple Rain' hitmaker's list of tour accommodation demands have been revealed and as well as preferring to take the lift in hotels, he has also banned paintings or photographs of faces or animals and "obstructive rugs" in rooms he stays in.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Prince's list of demands has been going out to all his hotels in the UK before he arrives at them.
"His requests all have to be fulfilled or he won't turn up to play."

During his 2007 residency at London's The O2, he wanted to have a five-bedroom house built next to the venue to make it easier for him to get to his gigs.
In 2011, the legendary star also reportedly ordered a limo to take him just 80ft from his dressing room to the stage at the Hop Farm Festival in Kent, South East England.

(22,298 posts)so that the production team has an easy way to know the contract has been read. Those contracts include special instructions for assembling the set safely, so if they walk into a room & there's an obstructive rug, they know automatically the contract was not read.

(58,724 posts)You are probably thinking of tour riders which are sent to the venue where the artist is performing.
Those are completely separate documents.

(58,724 posts)Of crew members not being allowed to look directly at him. Of wives not being able to call him on the phone (they had to wait to be called by him). And on and on.
It doesn't take away from his musical accomplishments at all, but there is no need to pretend that he didn't have a lot of diva tendencies.

(9,083 posts)Except for their news satire, Weekend Update. Not really sure why you are berating a comedy entertainment program for not reporting on climate change, unless you've never seen the show, which is hard to believe.

The performances were awesome, Jimmy Fallon was wonderful as well.
