Prince had the most songs that I'd mess the lyrics up when singing.

My most notorious mess up was the song Little Red Corvette. For years I sang the words, "Feeling come back" ---until one day a girlfriend of mine asked, what the hell are you singing? I said the Prince song, "Feeling come back"...... She said --and I quote---"It's Little Red Corvette you idiot"!

when, as a freshman in college way back in the 60's when there was no internet -- going to my first college French class only to learn that we were going to be learning French mainly through listening to, and writing down, the French lyrics.

It didn't work for me.
