(835 posts)What would that be, 5% of the national vote?

(11,481 posts)for my prediction. With a Trump vs Clinton matchup, turnout will be WAY down and of the ones who will bother to vote, an historically augmented number will vote third party and the Greens are the best known leftish third party.

(5,621 posts)from Democrats for Bush, it wouldn't even have been in question. If Hillary is the nominee and the Republicans nominate someone that sounds and looks sane, be prepared for another Republican win. There will be a lot of Democrats voting for Republicans because of Clinton fatigue.

(10,857 posts)Aside from the fact that the 300000 Democrats figure is speculative bullshit, the 97000 Floridians who certainly did win the election for Bush could have voted for the environmentally conscious candidate who had a chance to win.
And that is why golf course water hazards are now considered "wetlands" by our federal government.

(27,820 posts)and would like a say in elections. I think we are slowly moving towards an era where there are three or more parties, and we end up forming coalitions like they do in other countries. I think that would be a good thing.
In the meantime, the Democrats embody most of the shared values of people on this forum and I think it's pretty harmful to tear it down. Look what's happened with the GOP and the Tea Party.
