Are you done? Think again...

My heart broke last nite. Not just for Wisconsin, but for our nation and democracy. But, something happened this morning that brought me to a level of fight that I haven’t felt since ‘08. A beautiful friend of mine in Wisconsin posted to her FB, “Bring on November! We aren’t done, yet!!!” Yes, she’s disappointed as much as anyone, but she’s ready for the next battle. So am I. What happened last nite was disgusting. I’m sick and tired of the lies. Of the sidestepping. Of the ridiculous wars that Republicans are waging on women, the poor, the middle class, on the environment and on the American people, in general.

I have my Obama/Biden 2012 calendar right beside my head at work. There are milestones and notes on events that have occurred since 2008. Each day I see a note, I’m going to post it here. I ask that those of you that can afford it, donate $1, $5 or $10 (or more? ) on that day. I also ask that you leave a message on the donation page referencing that occasion. Possibly even a shout out to DU?

For example, tomorrow’s note: “Hillary Clinton endorses Obama, 2008” I’m going to copy and paste that with an added, “Thanks, Hillary, for your support! We love you! - a member of DU”

I’m far, far from wealthy. But, I do set aside an amount to be donated to causes each month. It may not be much, but my small donation combined with others could make a statement.

Whataya say, my brothers and sisters? I know it seems small, but it’s something. I’m not done, yet, either!

Oh, and I ask...no, beg...those of you that are rolling your eyes or getting ready to type up some negative statement about our President, please...start your own thread. I’ve had enough negativity this week.

I'm going to give myself a couple of days to ponder what just happened then I'll pick myself back up and start all over again.

There's even a thread in the Lounge asking how you want to die.

See ya in a couple of days.

so I pay close attention to it.

I just get tired of trying to save Americans from themselves. At some point a person starts to feel like an enabler.

You get tired. Fed up. Disappointed.

Time for a break, I'd say. When you feel better, you'll see things more clearly. Though our battles are fought for ALL Americans, it's annoying when almost 50% don't appreciate it. Especially when they have such big mouths and small brains.

that me, a voter, has little say in any national matters that are completely ruled and dictated via the rich.

I can only assume that someone who is "done" with voting would have no reason to frequent a Democratic site. If so, I recommend MMORPGs.

with national elections to leaving DU.

If you need a bigger pogo stick for your leaps of faith, I'm sure you can find one on craigslist.

I'm stealing it, though.

I also don't think you're really done. I was just trying to poke at you a little to get you to fight back. If you fight...you ain't done, yet.

That election's over. We have one here in MN to deal with, and it has Koch written all over it.

How bad is the one in MN? Y'know, I'm not a violent or cruel person, but I can't help but wish there was a God and that he/she really hated the Koch Bros. I don't know how they sleep at nite. Oh, wait, vampires sleep during the day.
