Cop berates child on school bus: "Don't you smile or I'll drag your ass to the fucking police car"

A police officer outside the city of Pittsburgh was caught on tape berating a school child on a bus for smiling at him, according to a video posted to Facebook.

The video was posted on April 13 but the caption doesn’t give much in the way of details. It says the officer works for the Braddock Police Department. He walks over to a child seated on a school bus and leans over threateningly.

“Smile in my face one more time and I’ll be dragging your ass off this bus and back to that f*cking police car,” the officer says. “Don’t smile one more time.”

The video doesn’t show the child he was talking to, but the other children on the bus seem to be elementary school-age.

people who don't belong in policing will always be attracted to that job, doesn't mean they should get it.

Braddock is the hometown of Democratic Mayor John Fetterman who is running for the Senate.

Maybe the kid likes to smile, I did as a child...guess I would now get beatdown by a cop for something that is just in my nature.

I've read about insecure people before, but the piggy in the article is the worst I've heard of in a long long time.

He needs massive amounts of therapy.

Shouldn't it be about that? Why do some cops have to take everything so personally?

The average citizen on the street in public doesn't have the authority act violently toward others for perceived disrespect. Why should a thug with a badge?

Not only the kid he was talking to but all the kids on the bus that saw what happened.

the entire profession is loathed. Sad that police forces won't clean up their own house, I tend to believe the number of asshole cops is in the minority while most cops are okay people. At least I like to think that is true.

roid-rage? Some other drug? Negligent hiring practices just don't explain the sudden outbursts of cops. Are cops periodically tested for drugs?

I saw a documentary about the use of methamphetamine by Nazi soldiers and how it influenced the violent homicidal acts against civilians.

Just asking......

I wonder what preceded the incident?

Why did the cop board the bus in the first place?

The video is edited at the beginning, and there are no details to the story.

I'm not defending the cops actions, but the little shits must have done something besides "smiling"
to set him off like that.
