(82,849 posts)So, you know, he's got that going for him. Sucks if you want your state to have two Senators actually working. But then, Sen. Rubio's work product usually doesn't improve things, so maybe it really is for the best.

He is positioning himself to do one of these:
Be the running mate of Drumpf, Raphael or whichever Repuke strolls out of Cleveland with the GOP nomination;
Line up another lucrative, no-show job, as a lobbyist or other Beltway Bandit; or
Pull a Hillary and draw six-figure honoraria from Goldman Sachs, other Wall Street banks and firms, ultra-conservative stink tanks or... well, anyone who will pay to watch him sweat and listen to him whine about what might have been.
Until the 2020 campaign starts, some time after January 20, 2017.
