by us being out spent 10-1.
It's the American voting process being sold to the highest bidder.
Who needs to tamper with electronic voting machines. That's such ugly dirty work suited best for the likes of rove and his ilk.
nope, this time the election was gamed by money.
You see, prior to citizens united, tampering with voting machines was the way to ensure your guy won.
Now, money took it's place.
Look at it this way, once upon a time, the mafia used to shake down local business owners for protection money, but then they learned it was easier just to control the industry.
And here we are.
Sure they won "fair and square", but they only did that once they changed the rules.
See how it works?

(1,055 posts)The billionaires now have their price tag. To unseat Barack Obama it will cost them $10 billion at least, and probably more.
They now have a cost/benefit decision to make. Looking at Obama's record of the past four years, I bet the cost would be too high for the benefit to be gained from a president Romney.

(599 posts)this had nothing to do with WI, it had to do with WI quirky law that exempted Walker from state laws on limits allowed to his campaign. Thats what needs to be changed.

The cultist fucking sheeple bought into it ALL hook, line and sinker. And they voted. I am surrounded by them.

(62,530 posts)"you have to catapult the propaganda".
Not everyone pays attention to the news the way we do. If you run enough ads with enough bullshit every day and do it more than the other guy, like the old saying goes, "if you say a lie often enough, people begin to believe it as the truth"

(15,438 posts)It doesn't fit their m.o.
To ensure you win, why not flood the airwaves with political ads (with huge discounts, of course) and put the media focus on that AND rig the machines to ensure if some people aren't buying your ads, the machines will ensure a win, but their pals in corporate media will tout "money works!"?
These people don't go half-assed. They're in it for the kill.

(9,186 posts)People like Orly Taitz, Walker, Scott, et al, will be up for sale.
That 2am phone call candidates like to postulate about their rival will be a 2am call from Koch,
or some other billionaire who put up a few million dollars for their "bitch."

(5,198 posts)corruption and hackable machines do we automatically just sit down and trust these people after an election? I think the burden is on the Republicans to prove their honesty. Trusting people who have proven repeatedly in the past to be dishonest lying cheats is not only naive and gullible--it is irresponsible.
