Celebrities React to the Passage Of All These ‘Anti-LGBTQ’ Laws

New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo reacted swiftly to North Carolina’s new law, issuing an order that there is to be no non-essential state travel to the state. After Mississippi passed their law, he banned travel there, too. Money-exchange giant Paypal also canceled a massive expansion in North Carolina following the signing of their bill.

The blowback against Mississippi and North Carolina wasn’t restricted to the government and corporations, though. Plenty of celebrities and entertainers have spoken out.

#Mississippi – The poorest state w/highest unemployment, most obesity and worst education just passed a law to protect themselves from gays.

I am so disappointed in the governor and legislature of North Carolina. Overturn #HB2. #translivesmatter

We think people in North Carolina deserve better than this awful step backwards… https://t.co/r9AnNUhnZF

This is how cowardly and despicable the Republican-controlled leadership of North Carolina is https://t.co/aGNixzPTzn

PACK IT IN, you stupid bastards.

Theocracy disguised as "preventin' gubmint overreach" is still Theocracy.

Sell that shit to the idiots. If you choose not to evolve, you in no way, shape or form are allowed to stop the rest of us from moving on without you.

I find it really weird that they're being called "anti-LGBT".
