Diabetes has become a problem.

I wonder how many coffee drinkers will think twice after receiving a message like this one.
Oh, and will they enjoy this cup to the last swallow.

Diabetes is a problem, but that doesn't mean it's going to improve based on an individual's unstudied comment to a stranger.

... entered by the customer himself, on the Starbuck app (who knew?). So, you can put anything you like, knowing the barista has to call it out when the order is filled.

Maybe it's a "note to self" warning.

I think the barista's written scolding is a bit out of line.

Now I'll go have my second cup of home-brewed (cheap) coffee, black.

If you worked at Starbucks, you might get a bit of an attitude about the mega-sugary drinks at some point.

Says sister has type I diabetes, whose cause has no relationship to sugar. Whereas I have Insulin dependant type II which has.

In my case the comment would have been accurate, but too late.

I am not offended, but... as they say YMMV
