How to win in November.
First of all, last night's election was a specific election that had internal dynamics that are not applicable to the fall election.
Second, Wisconsin is Wisconsin and should NOT be extrapolated into a national event. Just because the media treats every political event as if it has national repercussions does not make it so.
Third, what this does say about the state of politics in 2012 is that the game is on and that everything has to be fought for. Nothing should be taken for granted and that the long term implications should always be considered.
What should we take away? A ground game is essential for our side. We know we will never be able to match them dollar for dollar so we have to re-energize the Obama grass root structure that was in place for the 2008 election.
It's going to take more than writing a check this time. We have th people. We need to put them to use.
