This statement might just sum up what we Dems are experiencing.......

Paul Wellstone's last statement: "There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans.
I want a party that will STAND UP for Working Americans."

This is as bad as anything the Republicans do. Let's start with lawsuits. Then let's start organizing in groups and confronting these traitors in public. Let's protest on their front lawns, show up at their work...publicly shame them. Then let's call out all their spineless supporters who think they can just buy elections.

How Hillary Clinton Bought the Loyalty of 33 State Democratic Parties
by MARGOT KIDDER
http://www.counterpunch.org/2016/04/01/how-hillary-clinton-bought-the-loyalty-of-33-state-democratic-parties/

snip...

Collusion between the Clinton campaign and the DNC allowed Hillary Clinton to buy the loyalty of 33 state Democratic parties last summer. Montana was one of those states. It sold itself for $64,100.

The Super Delegates now defying democracy with their insistent refusal to change their votes to Sanders in spite of a handful of overwhelming Clinton primary losses in their own states, were arguably part of that deal.

In August 2015, at the Democratic Party convention in Minneapolis, 33 democratic state parties made deals with the Hillary Clinton campaign and a joint fundraising entity called The Hillary Victory Fund. The deal allowed many of her core billionaire and inner circle individual donors to run the maximum amounts of money allowed through those state parties to the Hillary Victory Fund in New York and the DNC in Washington.

snip...

In other words, a single donor, by giving 10,000 dollars a year to each signatory state could legally give an extra $330,000 a year for two years to the Hillary Victory Fund. For each donor, this raised their individual legal cap on the Presidential campaign to $660,000 if given in both 2015 and 2016. And to one million, three hundred and 20 thousand dollars if an equal amount were also donated in their spouse’s name.

33. Sanders offers a new narrative. No more confining discussions to the right wing frames.
Fri Apr 8, 2016, 11:10 PM
Apr 2016

About ten years ago a book was published that detailed the 40 right wing think tanks funded by a billion dollars each year. The goal of these organizations is to limit the range of topics that get broadcast to the world and frame how these topics are to be understood.

Many of the talking heads have been trained in these places and they have been very effective in directing the way Americans think about issues. Climate change is a very good example. Many here can see through the confusion spread about this issue but still are not able to do the same with so many other issues.

No we can't is true for those living in the right wing world. There are many wise people that quietly offer rational solutions to many of the problems that we face. It is time to listen to these voices. It is time to elevate a different and rational approach to our problems.

Sanders offers us a chance to take a fresh look at the world around us. Sanders offers us a chance to explore new possibilities in the way we deal with our challenges.

Sanders offers us a chance to Change the Narrative.

Take the chance - accept the challenge - join the movement that can Change the Narrative.

Apr 2016

local voters minds, I have come to the conclusion that nothing is going to get a change UNLESS..... there is a mandate!

I mean Bernie, and I love the guy, will not be able to get anything done without a House and Senate. The last Democrat to pull that off was Lyndon Johnson and he did do a massive amount of arm twisting and got a tremendous amount of laws passed.

Two things brought him down, Vietnam and Civil Right Rights but he did get them passed.

Please don't fall for the bullshit of blaming Bill Clinton. When he can in he had Hillary working on a new public health bill and he raised taxes on the highest tax rates that Reagan lowered. He did some more Democratic policies and it cost the Democrats dearly.

The crime bill and welfare were later on but if you will remember the right wing had full press trying to impeach him. They worked at it from day one. I remember Linda Chavez screaming "White Water Gate" referring to the failed land deal with the McDougals.

I remember one of my bosses was happy as shit because Clinton was getting paid back for raising his taxes.

I know the news media is pushing this for all it can but please pull back. It is making too many of the enemy happy.

Our dem-publican Governor here in Colorado is a great example. The words sounded good when he was trying to win the Colorado Governor's office, but once he had that little trifle out of the way, he's shown himself to be as Republican as any leader of the GOP. I wonder how stretched out his rectum has become as he tries to satisfy every energy outfit that wanders by. When we had a state budget crunch here, he suggested such sharp cuts to rural doctors who accept medicaid patients that rural Colorado would have no more MD's who are in practice here. And then there's the dem-publican crowd in Congress - ah, Congress where politicians of all ilks go to become billionaires. Paul Wellstone's loss is a loss for us all.

89. WHY Has This Country Become Soooooo Easily Rolled?
Sat Apr 9, 2016, 08:33 PM
Apr 2016

We DO know the answer, MONEY! I guess the BIGGER question is 'how can Bernie win' when this has happened? It IS possible that he can pull upsets in the big states, but what good will it do for him?? Will any of these states or people spill the beans or actually blow the whistle about this? Is there any solution?

Most of his who support Bernie and have this information can clearly see that so MANY Hillary supporters simply WON'T see anything wrong with this. BECAUSE they will say it's actually legal! Citizen's United is LEGAL, but that doesn't make it RIGHT!

I've known so much about the Clintons for so long, and I find it hard that many of her supporters don't know this stuff too, so all I can ask is "Where's The Integrity?"

If you KNOW you're getting screwed and you go along with it doesn't that make you just as bad? Or at the very least a supporter who will go along with anything just to say your candidate won? This is insane! And it's the reason this country will probably sink even lower than it is now!

Too many other countries already have so little respect for us, but for some reason even "people involved" pledge undying loyalty with no thoughts about the damage this will bring!

The only ALTERNATIVE that seems possible is to actually go to the Convention and PROTEST there. That's NOT A GOOD THING, but maybe it's what will happen. I myself would love to stand up and fight back should this happen, but I have some serious back problems so moving around isn't an option. I was pretty young when the 1968 Convention blew up, but I've read a lot about it since.

DEMOCRACY isn't what we're seeing now! And if we want to FIGHT FOR IT I wish there was a better way. Is there a better way? I would LOVE to know.
