Trappe neutral on Talbot Boys (MD)

TRAPPE — The NAACP’s president considered it an achievement, despite the the Council of Trappe voting 3-1 to remain neutral on the subject of the removal of the Talbot Boys statue on the Talbot County Courthouse lawn Wednesday, April 6, during the town meeting.

“They voted openly,” said Richard Potter, president of the Talbot County branch of the NAACP. “So that’s the process that we wanted to see from the county council, that the county council failed to do” ...

Council of Trappe Vice President Rose Potter said she supported the NAACP’s position.

“I feel very strongly about the situation — very strongly about the relocation,” she said. “That it should be relocated to another area” ...
