1. Jane Meyer covered George Mason Univ. in great detail in her new book "Dark Money".

The Koch's and other rich Republicans have taken that university over.

2. Somewhat true.

The economics department is definitely right-wing. Other departments less so. I was a government and international politics major and most of my professors were liberal. The student body is very diverse. So, it's a mixed bag. Sad about the law school being named after Scalia based on large donations. I know some alumni who are pretty pissed off about it.
