Bush taxcuts major cause of debt and deficits...

...and the debt and deficits are major cause of spending cuts in all the social programs. How difficult is that to understand?

Unfortunately, these are now the Obama taxcuts. We are going to ride that taxcut horse across the finish line in November. Meanwhile, the deficits get larger and larger. The spending cuts become more and more of an issue. It's a lose-lose situation.

This one issue will be the demise of the Democratic Party as we now know it. We are morphing into something other than a Party that speaks up for the most needy in our society. We are losing those programs that help these folks. Instead, we say we are for taxcuts for everyone making less than $250,000 dollars. That is fine and dandy but there will be less revenues to pay for the programs that help most of the people in the lower ranks of the Democratic Party.

Yesterday, Bill Clinton suggested we should extend these taxcuts once again because we may be going off a fiscal cliff. We are going off the cliff primarily because of the taxcuts. It makes no sense and our leaders are destroying our Party.

So we have finally found something we can compromise on with the Republicans? We can cut taxes more for the wealthy and balance the budget on the backs of the poor and needy. That is a winning platform if you are a Republican.

Between the Bush taxcuts, the cuts in spending, and the Walker win in Wisconsin last night? Is it not the Bush taxcuts that are giving them justification for cutting teachers and pensions and everything else? So we need to extend those again?
