Time magazine has its cover story about porn. About how young boys, after downloading porn to their heart desire can not perform with the real thing:
Noah Church is a 26-year-old part-time wildland firefighter in Portland, Ore. When he was 9, he found naked pictures on the Internet. He learned how to download explicit videos. When he was 15, streaming videos arrived, and he watched those. Often. Several times a day, doing that which people often do while watching that genre by themselves.
(snip)
In his senior year of high school, he had an opportunity to have actual sex, with a real partner. He was attracted to her and she to him, as demonstrated by the fact that she was naked in her bedroom in front of him. But his body didnt seem to be interested. There was a disconnect between what I wanted in my mind and how my body reacted, he says. He simply couldnt get the necessary hydraulics going.
He put it down to first-timers nerves, but six years went by, and no matter which woman he was with, his body was no more cooperative. It responded only to the sight of porn. Church came to believe that his adolescent Internet indulgence had somehow caused his problems and that he had what some are calling porn-induced erectile dysfunction (PIED).

(3,447 posts)...Big Brother Loves Me just to read the article. The archive is nicer because it leaves pics and stuff intact, but even the pastebin is good enough for just the words.

(90,061 posts)It is one thing to put up with propaganda and marketing crap, and quite another to be expected to pay for it. If they want to bullshit us, they can at least pay for it themselves.

(16,191 posts)It's similar to the Grip of Death. The body has been trained to respond to a particular kind of stimulation, making other less familiar types of stimulation less effective. The solution, like GoD, is to "retrain" the body. No sex, including masturbation or porn, for a month or two. That resets everything and usually fixes the problem.

(4 posts)I don't belive this for a second. Think how many guys start their sex life on sites like Pornhub.com and https://www.fapshows.com alone and then gets older and start their sex life with a partner. We all did that and I think 99% of all men did that and this is the first time I even heard of such an example.
