I happen to be living proof of Bernie bringing people back to the party. I came back because the party finally has a liberal alternative for this election. Most of us that have returned are from the left, not the right and if you bothered to learn about Bernie's stand on the issues you would realize how foolish your thinking we are from the right sounds.

You on the other hand are one of the reasons I probably will not stay as a Democrat after the elections and will return to being unaffiliated.

Signed,
A DINO from the left.

On edit: let me rephrase. If crappy comments calling out supporters of certain candidates are going to be made, it doesn't belong here.

I am voting for Bernie Sanders, but you better damn well believe that if Hillary wins the primary I'll do everything I can to get her elected. Some Bernie supporters remind me of right wing goof balls that demand purity or nothing. If you seriously think HRC is on the same level as republicans you're simply a misinformed idiot.

Let me stop before I scare myself thinking about a Supreme Court where Trump or Cruz could appoint whoever they WANT to the High Court.

It's healthy to disagree during the primaries, but it is important to be united in the general.

I stay out of the primaries. I hate the negativity and the nastiness. At times, I'm disgusted, & even embarrassed at the discord. I will not publicly say anything negative about any Democrat - something my dad taught me. You don't give ammo to be used later by your foes.

(Disclaimer: I have publicly dissed Joe Lieberman, & DWS, they were/are poison.)

I'm not hating on anyone. I'm simply saying this whole argument about how people have to vote Dem no matter who the Dems put up, even if that person wins without popular support, is nonsense.
People should vote their conscience. If that means not voting for the Dem winner, so be it. That's the way democracy works. It has nothing to do with hate.

There was no hate in my post.
People have a right to vote their conscience.
If Clinton cannot win the trust of the people, she does not deserve the support. End of story.
Not hate involved, just democratic rights and principles. Clinton must win legitimately, and not by default because the other guys are worse.
You have accused me of hate couple times, and its just not true. I fully support Democratic principles. I simply do not see Hillary Clinton doing so. She represents corporate control principles.
If you want me to support her you are going to have to do something more effective than accuse me of hate, because all the will do is drive me elsewhere.

41. Gee, you know if Sanders folks are so passionate
Mon Apr 4, 2016, 06:33 PM

About their candidate and Clinton supporters apparently don't care who the candidate is as long as it's a winner in November, why not just work together to nominate the candidate with the best chance of pulling in independents, etc?

Sanders is clearly far more electable per favorability polls. Sanders voters clearly don't like Clinton and people she mingles with (DWS). If you guys don't give a shit, why are we struggling to come to a conclusion on this?

I don't trust Clinton one iota.

45. I'm saying if you're open to backing either nominee, why not the one with the best chance in a GE?
Mon Apr 4, 2016, 07:37 PM

Particularly if one has less baggage, is more well liked, and seems to want to fight for everyone instead of those already 'in the club.'

Fundraising numbers speak volumes about what Sanders has tapped into. I don't think if Clinton is nominated all those Sanders' backers are going to start throwing their money toward someone they don't believe in.

Edit: Perhaps this has less to do with the original post and is more specifically targeted toward Clinton backers.
