Most people look like they're taking this brainless twit seriously. There are a few toward the back who look perplexed and one who is laughing out loud.

What you need to understand is that this ditzy fading beauty queen doesn't have to make sense. She can spout word salad all day, throwing in buzzwords and catch phrases here and there, and her fans will give her credit for being smart enough to talk so long. Most of them think in slogans and sound bites and can't understand reasonable speeches, either.

She sounds like a middle schooler. "Pal -in' around with ___", etc. Same irritating voice and inflections. Some people were laughing, probably thinking Tina Fey could do her better.
