My opinion is that our mistake was timing.

We should have waited and timed with GE. Democrats suck outside of GE and they wouldn't have have the fodder about how much this election cost taxpayers.

We should have waited. I said it in November and I'll day it til the day I die.

We shot our load the moment we could without regard to, well, reality.

Goodnight, I'm spent and broken.

I wondered about the date as well, but it seemed so urgent, with Walker doing so much damage daily. You guys put in over a year organizing this and need to take to heal.

I can't imagine what it must be like, to know half the state was against the cause, and then to have to see them on a daily basis.

Please keep from getting any more tired or hungry and don't be alone much if you can. Don't take the bad stuff to heart, I'm sorry about some of what I chanced upon today. I don't believe it, and it was not necessary.

Sending healing vibes to all of you in Wisconsin and work to be at peace.

I just signed up after lurking hear for some months. I've never been prouder than today to be a progressive. I don't think timing was our mistake, I think our mistake is in organizing towards the wrong ends. The deck is stacked! The game does not favor us and we are surprised when we play it and fail. The media - that which intermediates us is purpose built to keep our interests disparate and divided - its a colonial playbook remarkable for its agelessness and universality.

Wall Street, Oakland, the Media - these things need not be Occupied! Thats THEIR tactic and it concedes them all the terrain and begs failure as a goal. We need to ABANDON, AGGREGATE and form a more perfect union of like-mindedness and start with that simple economy. In 2012 and beyond we can create a nation within a nation and work towards an inner economy where we can feed, cloth, shelter, produce and connect for and with others. I think we all have the dream of an America that we would want to see, not the racist, facist and enslaving nation we are waking up to.

But we have to OPT OUT, MODESTLY ACQUIRE and BUILD the first Arcology to get this going, y'know folks? Get outta the media discourse instead of OCCUPY this or that, get some land and start growing, building, teaching, reaching and simply build our world around the feudal lords and their serfdoms as best we can.

I think that I am most upset by the fact that I must now live here knowing half of the state is a bunch of Walker supporters. And what is is they like? His incompetence? His 'divide and conquer' strategy? His ethically challenged behavior? The fact that he makes my chosen profession of 30 years something to be mocked and resented?

I just don't know.

I'd like to think I can heal, but I am not so sure. This is too intensely personal for a LOT of us, and I am not quick to 'get over it'.

Thank you for keeping us informed, and thanks for all of your hard work.

From a fellow (disillusioned) Wisconsinite.

I honestly don't think Walker's going to survive another 5 months without being indicted...if he was under indictment and facing a recall, all the GOP money in the world wouldn't have saved him. Likewise, a resignation would have doomed whoever had the GOP nom. in the recall.

What happens if this corruption probe spreads as corruption probes are wont to do and it takes Kleefisch and the WI GOP leadership down with Walker? Does it go to the legislature to determine an interim or will Wisconsinites have to vote yet again in a special election?

Even if we started petitioning at the "right" time, we'd also had to have predicted how long the certification would take ,which is normally set by statute but here, the GAB got extra time. We very well might have ended up a few weeks off by the time all was said and done.

That said, I agree with your general premise. This would have been easier if we could have guaranteed a first Tuesday after first Monday November recall date.

Apparently, in a footnote that any other day would have been ecstatic news, Lehman declared victory in Racine, and the Senate will flip.

On a way positive note, your efforts in Wisconsin galvanized an entire nation in the months before the Occupy Movement. I remember talking about Wisconsin with a fellow progressive out here in California and each of us expressing a wish to go to Wisconsin in person to support you. (And this in January, mind you

Thanks for taking a look-see.
