Looks like our country hasn't hit rock-bottom yet.

Sigh.

I guess all we can do is hold on to our principles, look out and take care of each other, and hope some day soon the rest of the country comes to their senses.

Such a shame so many won't realize what they've done until it's too late for them. At least our eyes are wide open and we can prepare for the future. We're the survivors. We'll get through anything.

Keep the faith. I know tonight stings right now.

3. The more things worsen, the more resentment grows

And the Right is great at exploiting resentment and has vast propaganda networks with which to do it. They're always able to find scapegoats for the resentful to resent and to blame.

So I'm not sure that even if we hit rock-bottom many people will start to understand what's really happening. When addicts hit rock-bottom, they have to accept their own responsibility for being where they are in order to begin recovering.

I'm not sure many people on the Right are able or willing to do that.

Before they understand what's really happening, people will probably
act out in violence. When the dust settles, two sides will finger point
and the whole cycle starts over again. Seriously. Do you agree?
