http://wncn.com/2016/03/25/san-francisco-mayor-bans-travel-to-nc-after-transgender-bill/San Francisco mayor Edwin Lee has banned city employee travel to North Carolina after the state passed House Bill 2 this week.
The North Carolina General Assembly on Wednesday overrode a Charlotte ordinance set to take effect April 1 that impacts transgender people and Governor Pat McCrory signed the bill Wednesday night.
We are standing united as San Franciscans to condemn North Carolinas new discriminatory law that turns back the clock on protecting the rights of all Americans including lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals, Lee said in a statement. Effective immediately, I am directing City Departments under my authority to bar any publicly funded city employee travel to the state of North Carolina that is not absolutely essential to public health and safety.
It was not immediately clear how many trips Lees decision might impact.

Alas, the Niners moved to Santa Clara, so they can still play (and lose) road games against the Panthers.

These jerks can't decide on their priorities: self-righteous bigotry or money? Money or self-righteous bigotry?
What a dilemma.
It will be interesting to see whether they try to walk this thing back.
We have to hope--here in NC--that they've done themselves in and people will come out like gangbusters to vote these Republicans out
of office for another 100 years and they can crawl back under their slimy rocks.

Conservatives may have power in some states, but we have the numbers in the country. The more local/state governments and businesses that take this kind of action against states that pass bigoted legislation, the better.

Even with the changes I don't like due to the tech companies, I wish I could afford to move there.

If it's a considerable amount, that would get a bit more attention.

Or rather, a Charlotte bank bought out B of A and kept the B of A name. Their regional office is still in SF.
