I know you win some and you lose some, but with the post-Citizens United Era we're living in, and the steady decline of labor unions, the Democrats are going to have to find some new financial sources in order to compete with the corporate cash that will always pour into Republican coffers.

The onus will be on future Democratic candidates to woo Koch & co. They'll have to put together a package which is hugely tempting to those sorts of groups in order to stand a realistic chance.

There just isn't the same kind of money on the left - Buffett, Soros & so forth might profess to be liberals, but they are relatively indifferent to who actually wins; the big money in the post-CU era is with the traditionally Republican donors.

All citizens are equal is no longer the guiding principle of our country. What matters is how much money one group has compared to another.

America's decline is underway. At least I can say I've done all I can.

Learn from mistakes, cheer the positives and keep moving forward.

The rest of the country and the progressive movement cheers our brothers and sisters in Wisconsin!!!!

We are the Underground. We are the insurgency. WIsconsin rose up agains the power and caused a shudder. Next effor it will be a tremor. Next will be a fissure. The a column will crumble.

We will not win an election tonight but we have begun to organize and that is what has been lacking in progressive politics for 40 years.

so very sorry -

if, indeed, there was a win in Racine, though, at least there is something to take away from this.
