(37,648 posts)was enuf to maybe give other governors pause before trying to do what Walker did. They know what they'd possibly face: grassroots movement against him, a possible recall election, a look-see into finance ethics.

(31,706 posts)With Wanker's win last night, ALEC, the Kochroaches and other high rollers will look to double down in other states. They no longer fear a union backlash at the ballot box and know (or think) they can buy any election. Until their beaten and beaten bad they'll continue to flood races they feel are important with cash. Maybe last night's results will start showing Democrats the powerful forces we have to fight...

(24,414 posts)Get some more Democrats elected to the state legislature so that Walker is going to HAVE to deal with both sides and can't just ram things through.

(18,672 posts)If, dog forbid, we don't see the results we'd like, then at least this gives us hope for the next time. And the next. And the next. Never give up hope, even if you lose 'til the end. Hope is the spark of the human spirit. It keeps the human race going, that spark, because one day it will become a flame. We might not see it, but our children will. And if our children don't, our grandchildren will. And so on, and so on. In the end, that spark will become an eternal flame that no one can ever put out. (I blame the beer).
