http://www.seattlepi.com/business/article/Lawsuit-Starbucks-intentionally-underfills-6922370.phpA lawsuit filed in a federal district court Wednesday claims that Starbucks habitually underfills its servings of lattes in an attempt to save money on milk.
The class action complaint comes from two California residents from San Francisco and Carlsbad and was filed in U.S. District Court in Northern California.
It claims, on behalf of all Starbucks latte consumers, that Starbucks falsely advertises the volume of its drinks because they are about 25 percent underfilled.
The suit also points out that baristas intentionally leave one-quarter of an inch of room between the surface of the foam and the lip of the cup, per company policy.
Starbucks issued a statement Friday saying the complaint is meritless.
the lawsuit says Starbucks owes customers $5,000,000

(2,841 posts)for having crap coffee. Every Sbux I've been to, the coffee tastes like burnt water. The coffee at my local cafe and the coffee at Tim Horton's near where I live is superior to that overpriced crap.
