1. My state will probably never require labeling. I just assume things that don't say "100% organic,"

contain GMOs. I think I'd be right close to 100% of the time. I'm fine with the labeling requirement, but don't really think it is necessary.

4. Buying organic wouldn't be so expensive if GMO labeling were mandated

because fewer and fewer people would buy GMO foods. Many are not educated or informed. It isn't just me. There should always be transparency. GMO foods would disappear most likely unless there was a mass that continued to buy them which could happen if they remain really cheap compared to organic. BTW, does the label "organic" mean the same in all states and is that totally without GMO and is it without pesticides?

5. I don't think so. If something doesn't have GMOs, producer is going to label it as "100% Organic"

Anything without that label likely contains GMOs. I think people who really care, know that. Everyone else is fine with GMOs, and isn't going to pay more for an organic product.

Labels are fine, but they really aren't needed. I don't know if there is a national standard or not, but there ought to be.

Our legislature passed a bill signed into law that said we'd do the same if nearby states passed such laws. VT is 2 states away.

I'm a beneficiary of VT's law and I don't even have to move to Vermont. (Because VT is nearly my idea of purgatory; so are NH and ME)

The Distribution system is not set-up to easily seperate food sold in Vermont from other nearby area's. Depending upon the company and the distribution chain.
