"Make America Great Again"

Just exactly which time period in America's history is he referring to? I first thought it may have been post WW2, but the fifties had racial segregation, ethnic and sexual discrimination and the Red Scare and birth control was illegal. The 60's had Viet Nam and assassinations. The 70's had excessive inflation and disco. The 80'ss had trickle down economics.

Maybe it's back when Teddy Roosevelt "busted the trusts"?

Yep, that sounds about right. That's what Trump considers "great". Just replace "Red scare" with "brown scare".
