http://theintellectualist.co/trump-implies-that-war-between-the-u-s-and-mexico-is-possible-over-their-refusal-to-pay-for-his-wall/Trust me, Bob, when I rejuvenate our military, Mexicos not going to be playing with us with war, that I can tell you. Mexico isnt playing with us with war, Trump responded Wednesday....
Mexican President Peña Nieto blasted Trump in two separate interviews this week, slamming the billionaires strident expressions to a Mexico City newspaper and warning that the kind of rhetoric he uses has led to very fateful scenes in the history of humanity.
Thats the way Mussolini arrived and the way Hitler arrived, Peña Nieto said. Trumps comments, he told El Universal, have hurt the relationship we have sought with the United States
Didn't we already try that? Hey, maybe we could get a few more states out of the deal!

(182 posts)but they are all empty promises. He is loathsome, him and his followers are frightening and prone to violence. It really does remind me of Germany in the 30s. Having said that, I will express what is probably an unpopular opinion on this board. While I don't agree with Trump, I also don't care for people like Jorge Ramos. While deporting 11 or 12 mill people is ridiculous and I suspect not economically advantageous, what exactly does the other side, people like Jorge Ramos want? Should everyone be allowed to come here? No one should be deported? I read in the news that places like Honduras is dangerous but if that's the case, do other countries take some of these asylum seekers, like Canada? I think even people who don't like or agree with Trump have some concerns about essentially granting amnesty and citizenship to those already here without a good plan to prevent a repeat of this in 10 or 20 years. Some people don't want to voice this but I am afraid this is the kind of stuff that really gives Trump impetus.

(24,692 posts)Hey, Donald. Does that mean that if our military is big enough, we can tell the whole world what they should do to benefit US? That sounds like republican 'cowboy diplomacy' gone mad.

I mean Sonora looks like Arizona, most of the Native Americans in the region view it as a contiguous homeland spanning the US border, and it is culturally Arizonan...except it's in Mexico.
Also, Baja California. California is a US state and Baja California should be part of it...it's in the name even.
Hell, why do we need a New Mexico when we haven't even annexed Old Mexico. Lets take the whole damned country and just call it the US State of Mexico. Once we've gotten that far, it makes sense to simply take all those Central American nations that can hardly run themselves. The Donald wants to bring them his corporatist worldview and the gospel of prosperity underpinned with the hatred of brown people. He has a great plan for the brown people though to allow them to work to make themselves free and trains to take them to the Mar-a-Lago work-camp.
At that point, is there really even a need for an independent Canada? I mean...really? With all the Americans fleeing across the northern border, it's as American as it is anything else. It has lots of oil and it would be a boon to add to the Fourth Reich.
Since we basically pay for all their international defense anyways, just go ahead and annex Europe. If they resist, we'll land an expeditionary force on the beaches of France...I hear the ones around Normandy are highly suitable for a ground invasion of Europe.
