(20,998 posts)...Republicans and Democrats is that the Democrats have invested large amounts of time and money getting people to vote. The Republicans, on the other hand, have spent large amounts of time and money trying to limit the number of people voting.

(4,879 posts)The Texas Democratic Party is about as useful as teats on a boar hog. They damn sure didn't put any effort into helping young people get the proper ID necessary to register. They put all their resources into getting Hillary Clinton the nomination. Higher turnout (especially the youth) would have hurt that goal.
My State Rep (D) seems content riding in the back of the gravy train. The only response I ever get from him is "Thank you for your input". I skipped him on the primary ballot and I won't be voting for him in the general.
I had to tell the Texas Democratic Party to go suck an egg when they came begging for money. They no longer represent my values.
