Some say there is no way Trump could be elected. I really do not believe he will be, but I've been

wrong before. I he were to be elected I think there would be more violence in this country than we have seen in a long while. I think it's a mistake to believe that society is too modern, in the U.S., for the same type of historical violence not to occur that has in the past. Polarization is at a place today where there would be a major backlash against any ham handed attempt Trump would take a do the things things he says he will. It is a dangerous time in politics and we need to be vigilant. We need to vote and be involved in our communities. But that, I fear, would not be enough if Trump prevails.

Kings and Major-Domos were the rule right up until the US said "so long" to Mad King George.

I am not so sure that we might not end up wandering that old well-trodden path back to tyranny. Our memories are so short, History and Civics really aren't taught much, or well in our schools anymore.
