Repeating History? The time to act is NOW

It's time for the sugar coating to end. To call a spade a spade. After witnessing the latest Republican shoutfest it has become horrifyingly obvious to me what is happening here. I know many of us look upon the goings on of the Republican Presidential candidates with befuddled amusement thinking these bunch of fools could never actually rule this country, however I see a frightening possibility. We could be witnessing the birth of a Forth Reich and all it would stand for. As scary as that possibility is, the chess pieces seem to be lining up. Where the Jews were the ones to fear and hate back in the 40's in comes the Boogiemen of the 21st century, the Muslims, this generations sub-human monsters bent on destroying our entire way of life. We now have "Make America Great Again" A modern-day Isolationists theme. And now, the arrival of the star of the show. A made for television Tyrant by the name of Trump has taken the stage. A shinny new face on the same old nationalist, dictatorial story. We have a gullible, un-educated public lead into a facts absent, racially targeted hate and fear fest. We have an Intelligentsia unable to launch a counter argument against the simplistic but powerful talking Tyrant, making them look ineffective and weak and him the fearless Leader of our times. I can't help but think, we've seen this movie before, and it was a living Hell before we fought toward the sacrificial and long fought happy ending, is it happening again??

In large part we really have only ourselves to blame for this truly frightening turn of events. Most of us all assumed that things would always stay the same, nothing would ever change, "America is Strong". We are that shining light on the hill, a beacon for liberty and freedom forever. One thing we lost sight of though, the protection of freedom and liberty is an ongoing exercise, one practiced by a well informed and engaged public. That public though is a rarity in this post Reagan, reality TV based infotainment society we have created for ourselves. We, the People have abdicated our responsibility to lead this country. We gotten fat and happy, just assumed everything was and will work out, and sloughed off our responsibilities to lead this nation and turned that task over to a few elite people. But the Elites we're never interested in the good and prosperity of our nation, oh no, they look toward only two personal goals, money and power. So they set out to achieve those personal goals.

The Elites know full well that and un-educated and fearful people are a compliant people. So they set out to change our educational system. Deemphasizing things like Science and History. Down playing critical thinking. The results, a fearful, racist, compliant population. One desperately searching for a powerful, fearless leader to lead them to place where they can feel secure and "great" again.

Which leads us to the crossroads we face right now, and the question, what do we as a people stand for?? Are there enough of us "true" patriots out there that are wiling to fight the fear and ignorance the permeates our society like an invading virus. Will we stand up and denounce this sickness and point out the traitors who seek to change the very fabric of what this country was created to stand for? Will we take the time to educate the ill-informed to the deception being thrusted upon them? Do you love the idea of a true representative republic enough to mobilize, get active and involved in the governance of our country? Because if you don't you leave it up the Tyrant to take up that slack and run with it. And that, my friends would be to the detriment of every citizen in this country. SO, THE TIME TO ACT IS NOW!!
