1. It was one of the few decent news sources in this country! I've often

wondered if the name bothered some people. I've mentioned to some how excellent Al Jazeera America was and they looked at me like I was referring them to some terrorist network. People can be very strange in their mental associations. I'm sorry to see them go.

3. They definitely needed re-branding.

Fair or not, it was hard to believe that a network named "Al Jazeera" was going to be successful in this country.

I did like them and always wished they would re-brand, only because I didn't see how they could be successful.

Sometimes I really hate being proven right.

2. I am sorry that they are going too.

For the reasons you stated. I have comcast cable, 2nd tier, not basic and comcast blocks that channel for me unless I upgrade to the highest tier....ERGGGGHHH!

I wonder if this has something to do with their failure. A lot of people don't have the money to upgrade their cable to the highest tier.
