I never make these kind of statements, but I am today - I'm done with MSNBC

It's been disgusting for all of these years to have that obnoxious blowhard take up 3 hours in the morning, with his enabling
Colmes like sidekick Mika...

then Keith goes.... and then Comcast.... and their antics

and then they convert to MSNTRUMP.... which by itself makes it a toxic dump. It's hard make one prefer their weekend prison crap, but Trump will do it.

and today, MHP calls out more of their bullshit.

I still like some people on the network and frankly don't know where else to go for TV coverage, but I can't deal with it anymore
after more than decade, I'm done with them.

then the shenanigans started, gone.......Keith, Dylan, Carlos, Rev Al, Big Ed, T J., Joy among others...and now Melissa Harris-Perry. And they keep the lapdogs like Joe and Mika and Chris..and have become the TRUMPTV network. so, then I started watching CNN.....another TRUMPTV network.

So now I come to DU for the news....i am rally tired of the back-biting going on here...but hopefully that will end after the primaries and we can be normal respectful DUers again. Even now, however, some news does slip through through on DU posts.

of liberal shows they've canceled going all the way back to Phil Donahue and his opposition to the Iraq invasion.

It kinda looks like they've spent the last few months gearing up for this election in order to help out the corporate-friendly candidates and be on board when one of them takes office. Everybody knows that it's uncommon for one party to keep the White House for more than two consecutive terms.

I watch quite a bit of France24 and Deutsche Welle in English on Roku. Al Jazeera as well but they're shutting down. Mostly world news without much overt bias. There are other TV streamers available like Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV but I'm not familiar with them.

I do not watch any MSM. Haven't for quite awhile. I let others document the atrocities, and occasionally I'll watch a clip if it's posted.

13. Rachel Maddow is hawking a b.s. poll claiming Sanders is losing MA.

Rachel Maddow is maybe my favorite political commentator as far as any cable news show, or an extremely close second to her colleague Chris Hayes.

But she has led her broadcast -- twice now -- with a teeny tiny NPR station poll showing Clinton ahead of Sanders in Massachusetts. A poll that boils down to about 240-some-odd self-described likely Democratic voters. It appears they just called random people, rather than using any kind of voter database to focus on historically likely voters, which itself establishes the poll as close to useless. The show has blown up these really questionable numbers in a huge red banner kept on the screen for the length of the pieces.

Rachel claimed, loudly and repeatedly, that this is super important because there aren't any polls coming out of Mass, and this shocking new information could spell doom for the Sanders campaign.

But there are other polls out of Mass. They all show Sanders ahead, or a virtual tie. The Real Politics average at the moment is +.6 for Sanders.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/ma/massachusetts_democratic_presidential_primary-3891.html

Yet this is her big story for two nights running -- that Sanders suddenly way behind in Mass, and his whole campaign is therefore in doubt.

Something screwy is going on at MSNBC. It's been intermittent, but continual. Chris Hayes is now centering a huge portion of each show on Donald Trump. One night he literally ran Trump's empty chair at his tantrum-inspired solo event, and off-handedly mentioned Sanders was speaking live somewhere. For about 10 minutes, half the screen was devoted to Trump's. Empty. CHAIR.

I'm assuming there is some executive-level pressure expressing itself in various ways, offset and modified by the broadcaster's own proclivities and loyalties. Matthews swings a lot of clout there, and he clearly is heartbroken Clinton isn't running away with it as predicted. Regardless, the upshot is becoming a confused, less-than-totally-credible mess.

Clean up your act, guys. You're embarrassing yourselves.

That's why I was so struck by her weird straining to blow up a weird little television station poll into "ZOMG Bernie's campaign is going off the rails!" By no objective analysis is that the case. Not only did she ignore more scientific polls that have consistently shown the opposite, but she implied there *weren't any* which simply isn't true.

I've seen her strain before to make a point -- it's part of her Air America radio host style. You can't fall asleep listening to Rachel Maddow, and she will raise her voice and repeat things to make sure you get what she's after.

This was just silly though. And given the other monkey business at MSNBC lately, from the endless stream of Clinton surrogates to putting obvious Clinton partisan Chris Matthews front and center repetitiously, to Chris Hayes' show's sudden obsession with dedicating every available minute to Donald Trump, I think it's clear there's a lot of pushing and shoving going on behind the scenes.

... I have been watching MSNBC before getting up and getting ready for work.... at 3:00 am PST. Not much is on at that time. I used to watch Washington Journal, at least I'd get some headlines, but that doesn't start until 4, and I'm out the door by 4:30.

I should check out to see what is on FreeSpeechTV at that hour. And I Monday, I think I will! I'm sick of Trump trump trump. Completely.

At least not without a disclaimer so we can start laughing earlier. There is no left media, not like the Hate Machine. Corporate media and the Hate Machine.

Gave up on that shit long ago. So much easier to find news on the WWW. Plus many times the ABC copycats are pandering for money and could care less about accuracy or decency.

Fuck em. The WWW is unfiltered. Sure a lot is BS, but a lot is good solid journalism. Something lacking in the ABCs.

I used to watch quite often, but when Martin Bashir was gone, I started watching less. Then even less when Ed Schultz was gone. Now I will occasionally tune in but once Trump is mentioned, I tune out again. So, I watch almost nothing on MSNBC. I then started watching Al Jazeera most often, but now they are going away, also. PBS's news shows are boring. I'm now watching BBC America and RT. Yes, RT can be very biased, but at least they have Thom Hartman and Ed Schultz.

So, for the duration of the election season, no MSNBC for me.
