Not sure how to categorize Dubya other than to say he was easily misled.

It will either be Trump or Rubio. Or whoever the Republicans have behind Door Number 3 at the convention.

Dubya was a mental midget being manipulated by the evil powers behind the scenes.

Trump is the evil power, no longer relegated to being the man behind the curtain. Essentially, Trump is Cheney reincarnate, no longer content to be the king maker, but wanting to be king himself.

Behind the the scenes, he would tell politicians what to do leaving no room for misunderstanding. President Bush Jr. would not last 2 seconds in a room with Mr. Trump. Even less time with an angry Mr. Trump.

Of course, Mr. Trump would not make a good president because of his background of being a CEO in an autocratic corporation. He would have a difficult time with the nuance of running a government. Not his cup of tea.

As for the hate, wow

There are some traits about GWB that I can understand how he is perceived as not completely loathsome as a human being to people who know him personally. Terrible president, I think he's a jerk and a bully, but I can understand how people could come to a different, but IMO wrong, conclusion.

Trump on the other hand is a dumpster fire of a human being. There are no redeemable qualities to him, either personally or professionally. If Olberman were still hosting Countdown and were still doing the Worst Person in the World, he'd have to retire Trump's number, as otherwise he'd just win every single day.

Both seemed to rebel and act out in their youth.

From there, their personalities seemed to diverge.

Gwb seemed content to play along to get along with his family's political pedigree demands. He had no drive himself, though. Ultimately, he was a bored player who handed off all the difficult tasks to family surrogates. Had Gwb never run for President, I doubt it would have ever bothered him. He was a happy puppet--which does not excuse him in the least from being an accomplice to some of the most infamous events in recent US history.

Trump, on the other hand, developed a taste for the spotlight and fed off all the attention. At this point, attention seeking is pathological for him. Which explains the sole purpose of him running for President. He wants to be put in a position where he's guaranteed to be the center of attention 24/7.

When it comes to these two loathsome individuals, I will say there is a slight difference in how I perceive them. I could somehow imagine a world where I wouldn't be completely repulsed by Gwb......if he had never been president. Say, if he was my next door neighbor, I'd probably tolerate him as he droned on and on about his new truck in his driveway. Sadly, he did end up becoming President and a war criminal and that pretty much is that.

Trump, on the other hand, there's no way in hell I would ever in my life want to interact with. If I saw him at a cocktail party, I'd be sure to stay on the other side of the room because otherwise I'd see him cornering me for 30 minutes straight talking nothing about himself and not allowing me to get a single word in edgewise.
