Genetically modified foodstuffs -

[IMG][/IMG]

"While GMOs may involve splicing genes from other organisms (such as bacteria) to give plants desired traits – like resistance to pests, selective breeding is a slower process whereby farmers select and grow crops with those traits over time. "

Care to guess what these primitive roots, fruits, veggies were modified thru selective breeding? O.K. - I'll start you off , bottom one is a primitive watermelon around mid 1600's

For ~100 years we have been genetically modifying food by mutation breeding. There are thousands of varietals, all of which are in compliance with the National Organic Program. Kinda funny that you don't hear about that kind of genetic modification much from the labeling proponents. I guess putting a GMO label next to an organic one would just spoil all the fun.

Really, you planted the mystery seeds and just stood back and watched what sprouted.
