Manny Pacquiao Posts, Then Deletes Bible Verse About Killing Gay People
February 19, 2016 by Rachel Ford 52 Comments
The other day we issued a Christian Persecution alert for Manny Pacquiao, whose abhorrent comments about gay people lost him a Nike sponsorship.
The Los Angeles Times reports,
Filipino news agency ABS-CBN captured a screenshot of the post before it was removed.
The deleted post contained a number of Bible verses, including one from Luke that Pacquiao apparently put up in self-pity:
Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.
Aside from reflecting on how mean people are being to him, and how God will reward him for his suffering, Pacquiao wanted to remind fans that gay people really have no business living.
One of them, Leviticus 20:13, states in no uncertain terms that homosexuals should be killed:
If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
That demonstrates just how abhorrent the Its my religion! justification really is.

32 Now while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. 33 And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. 34 They put him under guard, because it had not been explained what should be done to him.
35 Then the Lord said to Moses, The man must surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp. 36 So, as the Lord commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died.
New King James Version (NKJV)
He fought on July 2nd, 2006 which happens to be a Sunday (probably other times as well since that was only the third fight I checked). Also numerous times on Saturday and Friday evening - the Jewish Sabbath if you want to go old school like he apparently does.

(45,319 posts)eat up jokes about Obama being from Kenya. He will be lauded by many and few objections will be raised by the sportswriters and fans and soon they will all pony up PPV cash for him as they did very recently in great numbers, with his nature already very well established.
