The North Carolina GOP's attempt at racial gerrymandering is comically obvious.

What do you call a congressional district that snakes along a highway and then pools into a two-pronged fish tail at the bottom? Racial gerrymandering.

1. Sadly both parties did that, just nobody sued when it was Democrats

I used to live in the 12th and it's been jerrymandered even worse in the past when it was our side- one reason why I barely trust a lit of NC dems to do the right thing when they have a chance- that and their refusal to let state and local employees have collective bargaining.

But if you look at the history of the 12th district it's been badly racially jerrymandered long before this current map.

We don't have any moral high ground on this issue in this case, I very sadly say.
