2. Guns On Airplanes

Whenever I read about some gunhugger making noises about his/her right to carry, or even worse, use his/her piece to play Matt Dillon and uphold law & order on a commercial airliner, I remember the time I mentioned the idea to an acquaintance of mine.

The guy was and still is far right, ex-military, probably thinks Marco Rubio is a liberal pussyfooter, but he'd spent years as a military test pilot and he knew airplanes.

Despite the fact that I tried as hard as I could to say the idea of the "good gun" on an aircraft certainly wasn't MY idea and that I knew better, I won't soon forget the look on his face as he lowered his estimate of my IQ eighty points for thinking something that stupid.

3. Nevada state Rep. Michele Fiore

Cliven Bundy didn't want to fly but the crazy Nevada state Assembly woman Michele Fiore talked him into flying with her from Las Vegas to Portland. When Bundy tried to board the Spirit Airlines flight he was taken off because he was on the no fly list. He managed to get on a later flight. One could speculate the FBI said sure let him fly we will be waiting for him. Regardless when the later flight arrive a SWAT team was waiting at the gate at PDX.

It's is sweet irony that the Bundy ass kisser Fiore was the reason Cliven got nabbed.

8. Still not sure why Cliven flew to Portland

The drive from Portland to the Refuge is pretty comparable to a drive there from many points in Nevada. But if he simply had to fly into Oregon, Bundy could have flown into Bend, which has a good-sized airport, and is considerably closer.

Of course, he could just be stupid.
