Cliven Bundy Heads Back to Court Seeking Release From Jail

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS PORTLAND, Ore. — Feb 16, 2016, 11:34 AM ET

A Nevada rancher is returning to court to seek his release from jail in Oregon, where he went to support the armed occupation of a national wildlife preserve.

Cliven Bundy has a detention hearing set for Tuesday, when a federal judge will decide whether to allow him to go home as he awaits trial. Prosecutors said last week that he should stay behind bars because they didn't expect him to show up for future court dates.

Bundy was arrested in Portland last week on charges stemming from a 2014 armed standoff that forced federal officials to release cattle being rounded up near his Nevada ranch.

The 69-year-old came to Oregon to support the weekslong occupation at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge launched by his now-jailed sons, Ammon and Ryan Bundy.

1. Bundy should just tell the judge to let him go because he has no authority over him

Tell the judge all about his theories of sovereign citizenry.

That will get him released PDQ.

we have a life-long government protester, who recognizes no authority other than his own county sheriff (and then pretty much only when he agrees with the guy, if then) and has shown a propensity to ignore court orders and refuse to pay fines for well-established government regulations in the past and has publicly declared his disdain for government and duly enacted laws.

Sure, no flight risk there.

It's not likely he'll get bail set.

the Judge will smack him big time. Appears to me,their Defense is going along the lines of a Dogma used by Ezra Taft Benson and Skoven, were as some articles in their Mormon faith allows followers to use their Religion in interpreting Constitutional Laws and their applications.

Locally we are hearing there are more players in the Bundy Clan Revolt that are about to be rounded up. Hopefully our DOJ finally roll these Domestic Terrorist up once and for all.
