We know that conspiracy theories will filter in somewhere. GOPHERS will probably demand hearings and demand Dem or Hillary emails just like Benghazi.

A Facebook poster implied that there was some nefarious connection between Poindexter and President Obama in Scalia's death. But the pic, from 2009, was a routine photo taken when the President presented a Presidential Unit Citation for extraordinary heroism in combat to the unit Poindexter commanded when he served as an Army Captain in Vietnam.

Snopes reviewed the matter and concluded:

The initially confusing circumstances of Antonin Scalia's death were not at all suspicious. Poindexter was circumspect in securing the scene out of respect for Scalia, and reaching an official from a remote area in Texas on a Saturday was complicated. In compliance with local protocol, Scalia's death was declared by the first available judge via phone, and after Scalia was transported to a funeral home his family declined an autopsy. Cibolo Creek Ranch owner John Poindexter was indeed photographed with President Obama, but that occurred during a 2009 ceremony for veterans.

We were unable to find any other connection between Poindexter and President Obama, nor anything that made us suspect that Justice Antonin Scalia's death was anything but the peaceful, ordinary death of a man who was nearly 80 years old.

It was approved by the 0.001% behind the BFEE (among others) who have decided that the possibility of a President Sanders must be guarded against and are setting the stage for a repeat of 2000 with the exception of the deadlocked Supremes. It was clear that Scalia would rat them out because he was so honorable and lovable so not only did he have to go, but he was the perfect trigger for their plan.

This time the deadlock will occur against a backdrop not of Brooks Brother clad operatives, but of the right wing militia taking over federal facilities around the country.

The rudderless Federal government will be unable to react - paralyzed with lack of a clear mandate for any leader; this vacuum provides the window of opportunity for Ted Cruz to declare that he won the election. His first, immediate act being to declare martial law and mobilize the National Guard to "deal with the crisis".

Martial law will become the new normal as General President For Life Cruz is coronated.

That is a dark fantasy. What is real, however, is that the US really is special. We are the ONLY Presidential democracy that has survived any length of time without devolving into a military dictatorship.*

*Factoid that may or may not be absolutely true which I picked up in college class on fascism.
