Denial of Legitimacy of Democratic Voters and Presidents by the Reich Wing

I remember Bob Dole saying Clinton wasn't a legitimate President because he failed to achieve 50% of the vote in 1992. Turtle McConnell saying the only priority he had was making sure President Obama failed in office. Later, the whole Birther nonsense and you lie shouts from the gallery. All of this is about silencing Democratic voices and votes. President Obama won the last election by 5 million votes. He has the Constitutional right to nominate the next Justice. To deny his nominee a vote is nothing but aftermath voter suppression.

and in fact an obligation to nominate someone.

And the Senate has every right to not confirm his nominee.

And I suggest you look up the definition of voter suppression.

The Senate can vote him down should they choose to. They are talking about not having a hearing at all.

That is voter suppression.

voter suppression is keeping people from voting in the first place. Doing something after the fact, odious as it might be, is not voter suppression.

You can suppress the vote by not allowing access to the ballot. Common practice by the Reich Wing and it continues today.
You can also allow people to vote, but then not allow their elected Representatives to carry out their lawful duties by obstruction. Either by conventional suppression methods, or after the fact nefarious schemes, the result is the same. The votes of millions for President Obama will not be heard or counted because the Reich Wing will not allow a hearing. Call it what you want-suppression or something else- the result is the same, in this case their vote does not count. Their voice is suppressed, if not their vote.
