Cologne: Three out of 58 men arrested over mass sex attack on New Year's Eve were refugees ...

... from Syria or Iraq.

Majority of suspects are of Algerian, Tunisian or Moroccan descent and none had recently arrived in Germany, police have reportedly said

Three of the 58 suspects arrested in connection with the mass sex attack on women in Cologne on New Year’s Eve were refugees from Iraq or Syria.

Refugees have been widely targetted following more than 1,000 reports of theft, sex assault and rape of women at Cologne’s central train station - leading to a hardening of attitudes towards Chancellor Angela Merkel’s open door policy.

On Sunday, it emerged that of those arrested only two had recently arrived from Syria and one from Iraq.

But don't expect an apology from the "liberals" who insisted this was related to the influx of refugees.

This story has just made the case to your target audience (those who were blaming refugees) that immigrants from any Muslim countries are a problem. You may get your apology, but this isn't going to convince anyone who was against it that taking more refugees is a good idea.

The takeaway message is that foreigners were responsible for the assaults, whether they were recent refugees or other non-European immigrants. This will still resonate with people who feel that their country is being overwhelmed by outsiders, and influence their votes.

I think that there's a message that we need to be careful of who we accept as refugees - as many have said, women, children, families.

But I could be wrong...often am.

Tourists?

Merkel opened the doors wide to all types of refugees including economic refugees.

And this should convince the west to let in more. Right.

The discussion was about why Islamic cultures hold such low regard for women. You're proving Islam's detractors were correct.

Given that the title is a direct copy past from the link, I don't think the OP is being deliberately deceptive, but it completely changes the meaning.

Following the link, it looks as though nearly all of them *were* recent immigrants from North Africa, which is what most of the people the OP is attacking were claiming.

western values towards women, then you've amply made the case for the right wing hardliners that these are not good additions to German society and shouldn't be let in or allowed to stay.
