No matter what the GOP does, Barack Hussein Obama WILL name the person who replaces Scalia.

Let's first assume the GOP Senate refuses to consider or consistently votes down Obama nominees for the rest of their term.

NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, Barack Hussein Obama will get his choice to replace Scalia on the court.

Let's further assume the Republicans win the White House AND retain control of the Senate.

On January 1, 2017 Barack Obama will recess appoint Scalia's replacement and that person WILL sit on the court until January 1, 2018.

Now let's assume that the Republicans win the White House but the Democrats take back the Senate. Obama's nominee WILL BE CONFIRMED prior to January 20, 2017. I don't see this outcome changing even if the Dems also retain the White House.

So no matter how petty and childish the Republican Senators choose to be, Barack Hussein Obama will STILL name the person who replaces Scalia on the court.

3. The Congress changes thus BY LAW, the Congress MUST recess on December 31st until January 3.

I have thought this through completely. They cannot change the Congress if they do not recess from December 31 until January 3. BY LAW, they must be in full recess.

I'd agree but today's Republican Party has got the blessing of their constituency to steal vested power away from democratic elected presidents.
I can't believe the average republican voter doesn't see what kind of dangerous precedent they're setting.

They can only put off the inevitable, but that does not alter the fact that it is inevitable that Obama name Scalia's replacement.

7. Most likely they will remain childish and petulant all the way up until the primaries are over.

Once the 24 GOP seats have nominees set in stone, they'll try to act reasonable.

That's my take.

The senate is no going to allow it. If hill gets the nomination, the appointment will be filled by a republican president
