Media Critic on CNN: Joe Scarborough ‘Unashamed’ of Being in the Tank for Trump

The relationship between MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Donald Trump has been a fascinating one to follow the past week. It started when Trump referred to Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski as “supporters” and the Morning Joe hosts quickly scrambled to deny it.
It only opened wider when CNN’s Dylan Byers reported on the two of them hanging out in Trump’s hotel room the night of the New Hampshire primary. Scarborough strongly denied it and trashed Byers’ reporting. Here at Mediaite, Alex Griswold and Joe Concha had vastly different takes on this whole controversy.
A few days ago, Mediaite uncovered a clip from last year of Scarborough bragging about giving Trump debate tips. CNN’s Brian Stelter played that clip on Reliable Sources earlier today.
