When was the last time political discourse has gotten so funny and crazy (re: GOP debates) ?

I can't remember. Political debates should be kind of boring usually, with touches of humor at times. An occasional zinger, ok. But last night's GOP SteelDeathCageMatchapalooza was simply.....unprecedented in anything I can think of in the last, oh, 100 to 150 years ? Do we have to go back to the 19th century to equal what we witnessed ?

It was funny as hell, yet, especially for the GOP, very sad that our politics has descended to this level. The GOP should be ashamed of itself. However, thank you Trump for speaking the truth about GWB and Iraq on a very public stage!

so I missed all but the lowlights of a Trump with beet juice all over his face standing next to a Hispanic guy who's whiter than he is and being goaded into telling the truth about 9/11 on national TV.

Unfortunately, the totally anesthetized GOP voter out there will only remember "fireworks" and "his guy telling it like it is" without understanding a single word that was said.
