He'd make a great justice, is fully qualified, and Joe Biden would be a fine president until Hillary or Bernie are elected. Also, if Obama did this, it would create such an interesting political situation that it might finally push Trump off the front page.

Not a serious idea, even apart from the fact that Obama doesn't want it.

Among the bigger issues? There would be an obvious perception of conflict of Obama ruling on cases involving his own actions.
