Dear fellow DUers,

When Obama got elected he was coming in behind Occupy and a big progressive liberal movement. With this he said "I CANT DO THIS ALONE." This was his rallying cry to US. So, where were we when he stood against the HORRIFIC DISHONORABLE REPUBLICAN OBSTRUCTION?

Don't get me wrong. We were fighting. Writing letters to congress and the media. We were everywhere. But, we couldn't get our voices out there. We weren't being heard over the bought and paid for talking heads, media, congress people.

We need to tap into all of our creative juices. Use all available means to get this done for Obama.
Can we organize around this parting gift to us the people and to our President?

Lets pick dates and times for:

Media bombardments: show up where ever they are with signs calling them on their hypocrisy
Twitter
All other social media
letters
money support for all left media
Street theater
Anything and everything!!!!
Even Bernie is saying the revolution is not up to him it is up to us.

We do not consent to the Republicans giving our government over to the war profiteers and all the other corporate thieves of our labor and wealth!!!!!!

1. Is he going to help us?

Is he going to be on tv pointing out the historical precedents for him picking and the Senate approving?
Is he going to call out folks who voted for previous appointments in these circumstances when the parties were reversed?
Is he going to be out there pointing out all the conservative judges that Democrats voted for (including Scalia)?

Part of the problem is that Obama often relies on others to do the heavy lifting and tries to stay above the fray himself. He can't afford to do that now. We can't afford for him to do that now. And there's absolutely no reason FOR him to do that now in this, his last year. This will be his true legacy. Let's hope he gets it right and doesn't just rely on others to do the hard work and then take a victory lap when it's all over and the PR battle is won(like he did with gay marriage).

2. I agree heartily with this. Obama must LEAD on this, and not

leave it for relatively powerless voters to write letters, etc. Does anyone think a letter will have any effect on any Republican in Congress? It's ludicrous. He needs to channel his inner Lyndon Johnson, twist Pub arms, and get it done behind the scenes.

If they hear enough about it. We the people. We do not have to sit around waiting to be led ! The elected representatives have power because they were elected. Stop making is out to be helpless !
