It's 30 below zero this morning where I am. You can let your pets out, of course, but bring them right back in when they're ready. They might even have frozen paws and trouble moving. Not this year, but in the past I've had to rescue one or two who were so cold and trapped they couldn't make it back inside.

(37,573 posts)It is supposed to be 50 here today. Even on the cold day, yesterday, it was in the twenties.
if it gets down to minus 30, I am letting the squirrels inside too.

(11,093 posts)In my experience, the squirrels will get in if they need to. And they do. Many a spring I have to clean out my air filter or ski boots because someone has made a nest (or storage) site in there/
