Would Obama Have Leverage if he Chose an Hispanic Supreme Court Nominee?

If the Republicans stonewalled the nominee, could it not be turned against them in the upcoming election? Don't the Repubs need every vote in that community that they can get, and wouldn't Hispanic voters possibly then turn away from the party for stalling/denying the vote for a justice?

If this is the case, who might be a good choice for the job?

Why do we do this? We hate racism but select based on race. It seems so intellectually inconsistent. Ed Suspicious Feb 2016 #3

First, that he was a long haired hippie liberal,

Second, that Obama selected him,

and third, that he's not a natural born US citizen.

That is, not in play for Repukes. 2nd, lots (most?) Hispanics (and actually other Dem constituency blocs) don't vote. 3rd, Hispanics are treated as expendable. Blacks and LBJ were lasers in focusing on *VOTING*. When the intensely loyal Hispanic caucus cheered CLINTON during the *fake* impeachment, he hushed them and told them to settle down.

Just kidding. I'll close by saying to the dearly departed...
