SCOTUS: About Delay

A historian friend of mine tells me that delaying has never been done past 90 days, as far he knew. In 1968 Strom Thurmond opposed Johnson's choice for political reasons. There would be a new president in 6 months. After Thurmond blocked Johnson's choice, it became known as the Thurmond Rule.

Note: it's not really a rule though...just politics used when it is convenient for the ruling party.

I have no doubt they'll try and probably succeed in running out the clock on this. We need to make sure it's Bernie or Hillary who succeeds him and fills this seat if they do block the nominee that long.
