grabbed by your title, Jim, and the creative urge couldn't be denied.

"Three lines on Nino?" - Great theme, btw. There'll be plenty of heavy tomes, and I don't think his record will be considered at all admirable once we recover from this period in which many of the worst of conservative ideas were coated over with a temporary whitewashing of respectability.

I assume you're the same RTF, yes?

''Scalia wasn't an activist, he had an actual judicial philosophy which was so compelling that it's now accepted doctrine among even many liberal jurists.''

just shows how the typical RW ideologue is incapable of rational thought, living inside a bubble impervious to analysis of observable reality

REALLY interesting breakdown of the supposed genius' complete misrepresentation of actual historical events:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/7/21/1225510/-Antonin-Scalia-Links-Holocaust-to-Judicial-Activism-Spews-Nonsense

from a speech at the Utah Bar Association:

''Scalia opened his talk with a reference to the Holocaust, which happened to occur in a society that was, at the time, “the most advanced country in the world.” One of the many mistakes that Germany made in the 1930s was that judges began to interpret the law in ways that reflected “the spirit of the age.” When judges accept this sort of moral authority, as Scalia claims they’re doing now in the U.S., they get themselves and society into trouble.''
