How does President Obama act on this Supreme Court vacancy?

With the GOP having a majority in the Senate how can he get a nominee confirmed? Can he nominate a liberal Democrat or should he try a moderate Republican like Senator Susan Collins of Maine?

Thoughts?

1. As November approaches, the Republicans will have to make a choice.

They've gridlocked the Congress; they've gridlocked the Supreme Court . . .they have NO winning candidate . . . This will be the best scenario for the Democrats . . .

Obama might be willing to deal w/repubs to get a justice or the new president will have a landslide.

4. Let's assume they'll play ball an at least interview his appointee before they reject them.

If Obama is smart he'll nominate a black person or a woman or some other minority. IF repubs reject, he should just keep nominating minorities until they've pissed of the whole country.
